How we treat it

Cognitive behavioural therapy, relaxation and exposure work, and medication when symptoms are disabling. Most patients are managed through our outpatient clinics.

Signs to look for

  • Constant worry or dread
  • Panic attacks and palpitations
  • Avoidance of places or situations
  • Restlessness and irritability
  • Difficulty falling asleep
