Prof. Dr. Sa'ad B. Malik trained in psychiatry in the United Kingdom for almost five years before returning to Pakistan in the early 1980s, at a time when the whole country had fewer than a hundred practising psychiatrists.
He has since spent close to four decades in clinical practice and teaching, serving as Professor of Psychiatry and working in the psychiatry departments of major teaching hospitals in Lahore, including Shalamar Medical and Dental College.
Alongside his consultant practice he leads public life-skills workshops on managing thoughts, stress and personal growth, and writes and speaks regularly on mental health awareness in Pakistan.
